Adrien Rabiot 'enquiry made by Chelsea' as Maurizio Sarri eyes midfield addition. Chelsea have reportedly contacted PSG over a potential deal for Adrien Rabiot.
The French midfielder is out of contract this summer and will not be signing a new deal with the Ligue 1 champions.
Barcelona continue to lead the chase for Rabiot and reports suggested recently they had an agreement in place to sign him on a free at the end of the season.
Those reports appear wide of the mark though with PSG now considering selling Rabiot this month after he was told to stay away from first-team training by Thomas Tuchel.
Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked in the past while Bayern Munich are also keen.
But L'Equipe reports Chelsea are now in the mix and have launched an enquiry about the midfielder.
Blues boss Maurizio Sarri wants another option in midfield after letting Cesc Fabregas go to Monaco.
Chelsea already have deals for Zenit's £30m Leandro Paredes and Cagliari's £40m Nicolo Barella lined up.
They could yet move for Rabiot however, who would likely be a cheaper option for the Stamford Bridge side, with his contract up this summer.
Chelsea continue to be linked with a move for Gonzalo Higuain with Sarri admitting on Friday that he wants to sign two players.
A deal for Higuain is likely to pave the way for Alvaro Morata to return to Spain.
